Happy Birthday Mario!!!

 

Good mornig,evening or afternoon. The 13th of September was the 30th birthday of Mario! and to celebrate it I bring you a few interesting facts about this well-known hero game.

1.Mario first appeared in an arcade game called "Donkey Kong" also his name was Jumpman and had to rescue Pauline.

2.La technology at that time was very influential in creating Mario.They put him a mustache be cause it was easier to show than a mouth with expresión.This famous plumber wears a cap because it was easier to Shigeuru Miyamoto draw him the cap than hair. Could you imagine Mario without his moustache or without his cap??

3.In 1982 Mario was on the dark side!He  was the villain of the game Donkey Kong Jr.and that was the only time that Mario was the bad guy.

4. This hero has a very comprehensive curriculum. He worked as a carpenter (Donkey Kong) as plumber (Mario Bros.), devastating (in Wrecking Crew), in Doctor Mario, is profession bacteriology and medicine, also Mario's doctor, in the game of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, has worked boxing referee (Punch-Out !!), tennis (Mario Tennis), football (Super Mario Strikers), basketball player (Mario Hoops 3-on-3) player Baseball (Mario Superstar Baseball) golfer (Mario Golf), racing driver (Mario Kart), sports judge (any game in which Mario and sports appear), painter and archaeologist (Mario's Picross) (Mario Paint), skier and mountaineer ( Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games), etc .. and in the series (Super Smash Bros.) is a fighter 

5. Why do we call Mario? Although originally called Jumpman (as I mentioned above) in 1983 was changed in honor of the owner of the first offices of Nintendo of America, Mario Segali also shares a strong resemblance.

6. In addition to being a hero game, Mario has his own movie and music !.
In 1993was released the film "Super Mario Bros" starting in Bob Hoskins (Mario), John Leguizamo (Luigi) and Dennis Hopper (Koopa), whose soundtrack was made by Alan Silvestri and Roxette.In 2003, Jonathan Mann of the California Institute of Arts created The Mario Opera. A rock opera.

7..The movie"Super Mario Bros" had a different ending to that movie .It ended with Mario throwing a huge Bob-omb Koopa (Dennis Hopper) straight to the mouth, causing it to explode into pieces. However, the budget was completed before, and that is how Mario shoots him with an ordinary gun.

8.Nintendo did not launch onto the american  market the real Super Mario 2.The Nintendo's american executives tested the game and it did not resist the American standard for reasons that now may seem strange: It was very difficult and innovated but not so much.

9.The famous Mario's racoon custome that allows him to fly and glide. It's really a Tanuki, a Japanese animal, with great mythological undertone, which  belongs to the family Canidae.So, it is closer to dogs than  raccoons. 

 

10.Mario was going to be Popeye! Nintendo planed to release a gaming machine of the famous sailor  when he lost his rights. So the newcomer Miyamoto had to design a new character.

11.Nuestro plumber is an honorary member of the Association of Plumbers,Madrid .In 2009 the association decided to give the silver badge to this character that has spread their work.
